Tracy Renault, "Sass" - Triple Crowner
"My name is Tracy and I am an avid long distance thru hiker. In 2014, I embarked on my first thru hike along the Appalachian Trail and fell in love with camping, hiking, and the mountains. I am known as Sass on the trail. I was “slow and steady” at the start of my thru hike and now Sass stands for “slow and steady sometimes.” In 2015, I completed a thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail and followed up by thru hiking the Continental Divide Trail in 2016. These endeavors earned me the Triple Crown of thru hiking. I have learned so many skills and experienced so much beauty and generosity in those three years. I am not stopping there and plan to hike many more miles along long distance trails in the upcoming years. In 2017, I will be thru hiking the Arizona Trail, exploring the beauty of Utah’s National Parks, and then thru hiking the Pacific Northwest Trail. Happy Trails!"

Sara Fry - Accomplished thru-hiker and founder of Sierra Mapping Project
"I adore all forms of human powered adventure. Writing, ultra-swimming, mountaineering, and thru-hiking, are very dear to my heart. In the past 4 years I’ve logged over 11,500 trail miles. The spirit of adventure surges through my veins and keeps me afloat. Home is everywhere. Having gone through Cancer and Traumatic Brain Injury, I strive to not only break boundaries but to eliminate them all-together. We are capable of anything we set our minds to. In 2015, I started a non-profit, Sierra Mapping Project to give back to the community. SMP will provide accurate data on all trails in the High Sierra Nevada Mountain Range for a total of roughly 8k miles. All GPS tracks, elevation profiles, water sources will be FREE for the public to download. Passion is recognizing the beauty of life and allowing the magnitude of intensity to draw you in. Living free in OUR wild lands is my passion.
